Is There a Healthcare Crisis in America?

WHY?
Why have we been brainwashed into believing that if a procedure, health class, or medication is not covered by insurance then it doesn’t work?
Why has there been a negative smear campaign going on against Lifestyle Medicine for the past 50 years?
Why is Health Insurance continually sold as a cure-all for disease when all evidence points toward the alternative?

To do this topic justice, I have to tell you a story.
It was January 2015. I was signing agreements with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and Medicaid that I would start accepting insurance at my clinic.
To be honest I was excited! I was able to start serving more people!
And it went awesome… for the first 30 days.
Oh if I only knew what I was signing up for.
The story I am about to tell you is highly controversial in the medical field. No one is talking about what is ACTUALLY going on behind the scenes.
This story did not just happen to me, but this happens in every clinic and hospital across America.
Doctors are kept in the dark, and nurses are frustrated.
AND YOU, THE PERSON, ARE PAYING THE PRICE!
This is What Happened...
After signing the insurance documents I was elated to be able to start seeing more clients. More people came in, it was all I could do to see everyone, and keep up with my medical charts.
Things were great!!! Outstanding in fact! For the first 30 days…
That was until the insurance company sent me a bill in the mail.
“Wait a BILL?” I thought. “This is not how this is supposed to work, this can’t be right”
Only after having a long conversation with an insurance representative, did I fully understand.
I was not going to be reimbursed for seeing ANY clients for the past 30 days. Due to not meeting “insurance standards”
After asking why my charts got denied, the representative stated:
“We Can’t Tell You That”
“So let’s just make sure we are all on the same page.” I responded, “you’re telling me that my notes are inadequate, so you won’t pay me. But you also won’t tell me what I did wrong?”
“That is correct” she said.
I was stunned by the stupidity of the situation.
As months went by I spent more and more time focusing on what I needed to do to meet insurance requirements, instead of what my clients actually needed.
My hands were tied. It seemed like there was no way out. My clients were stuck and so was I.

Insurance only pays to manage diseases, using medications rather than education on the lifestyle that is needed to heal thy self.
Only a subpar existence.
It’s all run off of money. There is no profit in keeping people healthy. Americans who are sick and tired of taking medications only create more money for Pharmaceutical and Insurance companies.
This is the reason why we are in a Healthcare Crisis. Because there is no incentive to be healthy. That desire must come from within.
